In the Western hills the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia Pontiak built a studio. Recording in a 5,000 square foot log cabin surrounded by the Greene River and wooded hollows near Charlottesville, VA, the three Carney brothers, Lain, Van and Jennings took four days in February 2007 to record their new album Sun on Sun.

The album represents a fruition of images and ideas birthed by the three brothers stemming from their extensive travels through North America. Recorded in single takes, live and with no overdubbing save vocals, Sun on Sun represents the interaction of three musicians with a connection that only brethren can form.

Intimating their early childhood experiences with traditional Appalachian and country music, Pontiak has added psychedelia, the blues and rock and roll. The result is a record that at once pushes the boundaries of modern electric music and harbinges for those who are ready to Hear.
